Long time lurker...this is my 2nd T4R and by far my favorite Toyota.

Did you change all of them? If so, what's your feedback? Is it too much? I have the bulbs on order, but uncertain if I want to change them all. Definitely the map and cargo lights as it might be "too much" if all are on 8k.

FWIW I put 8k in mine (got them from Precision LED and they said 6k is brighter) I replaced all interior and seem just a little brighter than the OEM but not blinding as some have said of the ones they put in. I think they mean they are whiter so look brighter. The 8 is more bluish.

Is the pic just off or did you miss the front door courtesy lights...if so, good example of OEM vs the 8k for light output.

I LOVE them...I replaced every interior bulb with an LED @ 8K. It's mad bright, I bought them for when I camp/hunt and it makes life in the dark well worth it.

Bought this 2015 Trail Base about a month ago. Thanks for all of the valuable information on this site! Went from wanting a "professional" version of this truck to realizing an SR5 was still more than enough capability wise. Figured the trail wheels, fake hood scoop, elocker, and KDSS were worth it for the price over the SR5 I was looking at. Also they had it in my color. Crappy ipad pic:

It can be done easy in a stock 4runner. Just take you time, you don't get second chances up there. I did it in a stock fj and it came home without a mark on it.

I did Engineer Pass a couple weeks ago in my stock 4Runner with a roof top tent. Also did Cinnamon, California, and Hurricane. No problems doing it, just take it slow.

Absolutely not. It should be noted that I used California and Hurricane Pass to get to the Animas Forks area and not up Mineral Creek. This is good switchback practice if you ever plan to run Black Bear Pass.

Yes it is behind the grill. Its a 30 inch double roll! There are actually preexisting holes in the bumper support and you're able to just put it down there and screw the bolts in. I had a local fab shop cut some mounts and that was it, but I'm sure you can actually use the brackets that come the light bar. I just wanted to sit a little lower. It was like it was meant to be lol.
