Just a little wheeling. Well or actually!!!
I took my nephew out for his first real wheeling. Then I let him drive for his first time in the dirt, then on the streets
ray2:. I think I prefer his driving on the dirt than I do no the street :ybrick:. Holy cow, nerve racking I tell you. I don't recall it being that difficult when I learned how to drive.

Ah. remember this from a few years ago. I did this ride to Racetrack on a rented Jeep that time. Did you choose to deflate your tires over the washboard road? That is my most prominent memory from my trip. I have not yet done it on my4runner and I have been wondering about it.Death Valley, New Year's

I run 25psi off pavement. The road to the Racetrack was the worst washboard we encountered in DV. A stock 4Runner shouldn't have any issues, but there are a couple places (Goler Wash & Steel Pass) that you may need to stack some rocks and have a spotter, but otherwise it's all good!
Recent rains can change the conditions pretty quickly though...and make sure to check out the Saline Warm Springs...darn nice!

No, I started with a late 60's Buick when I was 12 or so. My grandfather told me to park it out front on the street after we worked on it. Told me it was like driving the riding lawnmower. Brake, gas, p is for park, d is for drive and r is for reverse. Yeah, okay grandpa. It got parked on the sidewalk and crooked as a broken arrow. haha, the memories...

Looks like you got the rig loaded down or you squeezed some bigger tires under there.
Curious what hidden winch mount you are using and nice tent too..looks like canvas?
Death Valley is amazing...and the nice thing is...after you're about 200m off pavement the vast majority of tourists are gone!
I'm pretty loaded (those are the OEM 265s on stock TRD springs) with gear for 3 and 10 gal. water, recovery gear, fridge, etc. (400+lbs.). For trips with 2 I use a RTT.
The tent is a Serengeti Hennie Bow, I believe Equipt Expedition Outfitters still carries them. Nice and heavy canvas, with bomber poles, and easy to set up with 2 people (1 person it's a bit of work though).
It's got access for power and a 6' tall person can stand up in it. Downside is that it's 50 lbs...but fits in the back of the rig well, next to the fridge.
Winch is a Warn VR8000S on a Pelfreybilt Mount. I'm really pleased with it. Shrockworks dual battery tray and National Luna provide the backup power via an Optima Blue top.

Thanks for the info..have been on the fence about recovery/armor options on the front of the rig but I do believe I am going to go with a hidden system to minimize weight....Looks like 23 Zero Litchfield RTT on the rack..nice...If so, that is what I have been running for some time now ...very pleased w/so far

Thanks. They tried to get me to settle on a silver, but I settled on my last truck and just wasn't happy. I love the white, super clean. Don't get me wrong, I love some of the pro colors too.
