I had the dealer throw in most of the TE parts when I bought it.I had the bumpers painted and put them,30 plastic parts in all. I wanted the TE with better approach angles and liked the look but wanted a full time 4x4 with the Torsen.
An ARB rear air locker goes in when I get back but the ATRAC has been great so far. Click on my mods link to get the whole story.

Here's my black TE which I picked up a few days ago. Didn't waste any time punting the OEM Bridgestones in favour of some Cooper STT's (with extra siping). Nice aggressive tire, pretty quiet at highway speeds and not that harsh a ride for an E-load rated tire. I'm running these at 45psi ...

Welcome to the TE club. I wish the US versions came with those running boards. I mean, they'd eventually get replaced, but it would be nice to have in the meantime.

Hard to argue. The Trail is my favorite 2010 4Runner, aesthetically and otherwise, but it looks bare and incomplete on the sides. Luckily that is easily fixed :bluejump:
Thanks for the warm welcome! Yes, the factory running boards on the Canadian version are a welcome touch and it's a shame they're not included on the US version. Still, nothing beats a rock rail/slider that'll support the entire vehicle (via hi-lift jack or a jaysus big rock) so I agree that the running boards are destined for replacement.
I've eyeballed the Shrockworks Sliders but I'm inclined to give the Rocky Road Supersliders a go.

i actually feel just the opposite: the Trail looks all the better for the "bare" rocker panels... you have a blank canvas for sliders of your choice.

In my opinion the Trail is just fine. It doesn't need running boards because they only hinder you offroad.
Now I understand...Very impressive. I can't tell you how many times I wanted to purchase a vehicle in one edition but also want some features offered in a different trim line, and had to settle. Who knew you could sort of get what you wanted all in one? Combining features of Limited with TE? very nice.

Hi congrats on ur purchase, i too purchased one on May and i love the damn ride. i'll post up some pics later. I put on some 22" dropstars and i also slapped on some billet grille, i changed out all my lightbulbs in and out, and i turn heads everytime im on the road and for some odd reason they always ask me if it is the new lexus lol i tld them nah 2010 runner.
It's alright...No offense are taken..
Mine is a V6....No V8 is avail on 5th gen as of now.
I believe a 4-cycl version will not be available until early 2010.
Mine came with the following options:
1. Sport fabric-trimmed seats
2. Power Seat (8-way for driver and 4-way for passenger)
3. Bluetooth technology for audio player and cell plus Ipod connection.
4. XM radio (3-month free-trial)
5. 3rd Seat Option (completely folded flat).
6. Sun/Moon roof
7. 120V outlet
The biggest improvement is the head-room. INs and OUTs are so much easier than the previous gen..... You all know what I mean! The second row seat has "PLENTY" of leg room.....Love it!!! It is actually a lot "BIGGER" and "TALLER" than it looks on the web site......just wait until your dealer has one and go see it in person.
Performance wise....I haven't really "step" on the gas pedal yet as I was cruising 80 mph and the RPM was just a little over 2K with ECO light on.....So far I got a 17.9 mpg city and highway combined.
And "NO"...I did not pay full sticker price (-$500 discount.) I did receive offers from 4 other dealers but they all want sticker price since they will only have ONE on the lot until the next batch release.
The dealer I bought from delivered mine only 3 hrs after they got it. As far as the 7-pin/4-pin wire hardness adapter, it was in the glove compartment...I asked my dealer and they had no idea about the delay as you may have seen on the other threads.

Get a photobucket.com account (free) and it will resize them for you when you upload to the site. Then just post the links to the img's. It's quick and easy.
