Love the ride. A quick question though..is that a trail or an SR5? The reason I ask is because I know that the SR5 does not come with the black body side moldings...was that an after market thing? If it was..may I know how much it cost to get that done?

I don't feel any difference on AM stations. Only 1 or 2 FM stations got some acceptable degradation.
I bought 5" Mangowalk antenna on eBay for $9.99. Also you can buy directly from Mangowalk Inc (Mangowalk.com - Mangowalk 5" Rubber Antenna Mast - Black - Rubber Antennas - Car Accessories)
But here is the thing. The set of studs witch coming with 5" antenna will not fit. I also bought a 10" black rubber antenna (Metra/RoadWorks Replacement Antenna Rubber Mast) from auto zone for $5.99. There is one stud actually fit both ends (antenna and car).
So, for about $ 16 bucks you will have nice short antenna.

VA Offroading Pics
These are from a raft trip down the James River, and also from another day where we drove up Shoe Creek Jeep Trail in Nelson County, VA in the George Washington National Forest. Deflated tires to 30psi. Did fantastic!

Thanks bud. I'm now looking thru the forums to see what cool things I can do to it. lol. I notice some people remove the limited badging, roof rack and other things. I'll have to contemplate that but I'm finding these forums full of cool info.

Trip to Nevada and Eastern California
Some pictures from my recent trip. The 4runner did well, despite the OEM tires. The problem occurred in a narrow canyon due to the 4runner being so wide and due to my inattention. It was at the end of a long hard day. I really smashed it into a rock on one side which knocked the other side into a tree branch. Thank goodness I had turned RSCA off. A few dents to the front plastic was all the damage. No alignment problems that I can determine yet. Anyone know how to fix the plastic? Use boiling water somehow to mold it back into shape?
On the trip I got to see how annoying the downhill assist can be in 4lo. Maybe if I had really needed it I would feel different, but it sucks for slight downhills.

Sick! I went there once and rented ATVs from guy who advertised that he would bring along machine guns for you to shoot on your ATV trip, but since we were with my wife and some other "non-gun-oriented" people, I had to suck it up and only use the ATVs and not rent the guns...next time...you gotta love Nevada!
