Hi guys / gals, I have enough posts start my own thread now LOL figured I'd kick it off with a build thread and a place for me to bounce my thoughts and ideas off without clogging up other threads.
I'm new to the 4runner world and Toyota as a whole, most of my background in vehicles is in diesel trucks and '72 and earlier C10s. The SUV thing is something that I'm looking forward to for "adventure trips" with my family.
Bought a white certified pre owner 2014 trail edition (with KDSS) the beginning of September and have already purchased the following:
-OME BP51 suspension
-Total Chaos ball joint upper control arms
-RCI sliders
-RCI gas tank skid plate
-RCI full skid plate package (front, tranny, transfer case and front filler)
I'm thinking I'll end up running the Toyo RTs in 285 on the factory wheels once I get around to installing the suspension.
I was thinking about a set of bronze Method NV wheels, but, I do kind of like the factory trail edition wheels........so we'll see ��*
Overall goal: mostly "higher speed" forestry / logging roads with some actual off-roading trips thrown in the mix, once a month or so.
I'm open to all suggestions, tips, tricks, etc. and thank you all in advance!
