5th Gen Weathertech Cargo Liner Help

Can someone please post a pic of their (no cargo tray/no third row) cargo liner. I have seen 2 different pictures as to what this mat should look like. My local dealer requires pre payment to order it and I want to make sure it is what I want before I order it. I have looked at countless threads but cannot tell either way. Some pics it looks like it is just a square and some look like it fills in the spots near the tailgate with the tow rings...any help ?

I just ordered on Friday and received on Tuesday my Weathertec cargo mat. No 3rd row and no cargo tray. Mine is a nicely fitting "square". The tie downs are exposed with no coverage. Looks very nice. Sorry no pic but a quick answer.

The pics in this thread don't show the entire liner (I might have some at home that do)... but they may give you the info you need.

The liner is square, and just covers the carpeted portion of the cargo bed. It does not cover ~5" of the bed that slopes up to the back of the 2nd row seats (the Weathertech liner is pulled back in the first pic, to more clearly show the sloped region not covered. Normally, it fits right up against the sloped panel with the D rings). CanvasBack made me short cloth liner that covered that area, and also sold me the covers for the back of the 2nd row seats.

I can tell you that I have 3rd row, and my Weathertech contours to fit around the wheel wells all the way to the jack cover and accessory storage compartments over the tie-downs

I wonder if a mat for a truck with 3rd row would fit?

Is the cargo bed of a 4runner with 3rd row seats carpeted around the wheel well?

In the no 3rd row SR5, the area behind the wheel wells isn't carpeted... it's plastic. I assume that (and ease of manufacturing) is why they didn't contour the bed liner around the wheel well. When deciding between Weathertech and Husky liners, it appeared Husky made the same decision. Their cargo liner is also appears to be square.

Rarely but, in this case I actually preferred the coverage and contour (in the cargo area) of the Toyota cargo tray over the Weathertech.
The rest of the stuff that I own both of - the toyota brand sits in the garage and the Weathertech is actually pulling duty.

Hey everyone,

I just joined the 4Runner family purchasing a 2012 SR5! The previous owners had weathertech mats in the car but did not put anything in the cargo area. My dogs will require a mat especially when hunting and doing some research I found quite a few bad reviews on the weathertech mats for the 4Runner cargo area...Some of which are in the link below. Can any of you guys confirm or deny these?

i think the bad thing with WT cargo trays is that things slide alot

i actually like the Toyota all weather cargo tray because nothing moves
also i heard Husky cargo things dont move as much either

I've had the WeatherTech cargo mat for about two months now in my 2014. Fits great, no sliding issues yet, and perfect for my 90 lbs. Labrador to sit on when he's with me. Works great so far.

It definitely is just the square pictured above. Mine slides around a bit putting the dog in and out of the back. Periodically I have to push it forward as its started to slide back toward the tailgate. It serves it purpose but I don't feel that the fit is quite as good as the Weathertech cargo liner I had in my 4th gen (06). That one had the "wings" that went around the cargo area at the back and just seemed like a more custom, less generic fit.

I can vouch for the Husky Liner rears. They cover everything, and you have the choice to cut out (or not) the holes for the rear tie down points. The pictures on the website are accurate, and it's a good product. Absolutely a different product from the WeatherTech's. I gave a comparison with the WT's over in this thread.

One of the nicest cargo trays I've seen in a 4Runner was marked "Toyota" instead of "4Runner", but I cannot find it anywhere online. Does anyone know which one this is?

Yea if I didn't have a sliding cargo tray, I'd get the husky liner. They fit great in my previous gen. Now with the slider I'm looking at the OEM one or raising the spaces behind the wheel well to fit a husky liner from my 3rd gen. Probably not gonna use the sliding tray much anyway.
