they have some floating around in charlotte, Sat in a limited yesterday, it was already sold. I like it and would rather have it than the last gen, I think the new styling looks sweet in person and I like the center console layout, even the cup holders a lot better, they also put a hidden aux jack and spot to sit an ipod under the radio. The location of the switches works very well and doesnt seem awkward once youve sat in the car. I do agree that headroom is a little tight, I am 6'1" and ended up with a little less than an inch to the roof with the seat all the way down, but I was still comfortable. The dealer also pointed out that with the sunroof option you lose about 2" of headroom because the sunroof goes into the roof not over it when open. So if you dont need a sunroof it sounds like you get plenty of space. It also has a rear whipper (im really not sure if thats how its spelled, but you got the point) that is above the back window swinging down (someone mentioned no rear whipper *again).
Seats also fold down in 40/20/40 which is a big deal if you carry long things (skis, snowboards whatever) and also have three friends, you can still have everything and 4 seats, where as most suv's you are down to 3 seats
All 2010 4runners come with a backup sensor, because you cant see anything shorter than 3 1/2 feet behind you
All 2010 4runners come with a tow hitch setup, and the dealer said they all have the plug for trailer lights
The lane change blind spots are much smaller than last gen
Turn signal and running lights in general can be seen really well, much better than the average car (to those who care)
A/C system can be operated without taking a class
Seats are comfy and the 2nd row has a lot of room even with front row well back
The view out of the cockpit reminds me of an FJ
All of the windows are auto up/down on all trims, a nice touch that I dont understand why all manufacturers dont do.
The 120v socket option is nice, but an adapter is less than $50 bucks
There is no plastic molding along doors to be hit by other people opening their door into your car
I thought all of the interior felt solid, there is a decent amount of plastic and other similar materials which I expected to feel cheap and shitty based on what some people have said, but in all honesty none of it bothered me
ADDED: I also dont like the mast antenna, and wish it at least retracted. I also would want to buy the metal skid plates that come only on the trail
Anyway, I didnt want to make this long, just a list of different things I noticed. Personally, I am seriously bit by the bug and strongly considering ordering a base SR5 with the package that includes leather seats, probably even go with 2wd as I can count on one hand the number of times I have used (not even needed) my 4wd in the past 4 years. Still, gotta drive one and sleep on it for a week or two as its, like any car purchase, a lotta ****ing money
