Could possibly be your engine block freeze plugs
On one of my 3rd gen's had this issue when I bought it used in private sale, it was small enough that unless you looked perfectly through the wheel well or up at an angle from underneath the coolant would evaporate before it left the block. A lot of dried Toyota red coolant dye on the block once I found it.
Only reason I even started looking was because every 5-6 months I'd have to continually fill the coolant reservoir completely and even put in some right into the radiator, and my first 3rd gen barely needing topping off yearly. Engine ran completely fine with no codes/steam from exhaust/other indicators of blown head gasket/etc.
Finally ended up RTVing the hell out of it to stop the leak since I couldn't get any easy access to remove/replace it at the time. Looks like crap, but hasn't leaked in 3 years, though. I'm assuming the plug did it's job and expanded out when someone wasn't using anti-freeze mix in a past life, the RTV will still allow it to expand out if it had to.
