6 inch lift on my TEP

I've heard if you do a 6" lift there is no turning back your preety much stuck with that lift, since they do alot of welding to make it work. Oh and i bet the resale value of the vehicle just dropped by doing a 6"lift mod.

There's no welding. It's the cutting of a frame crossmember to fit the drop bracket in the front.

All of the 6" drop bracket lifts are for the street queens in my area. I do a lot of them mostly on Tundras and some Tacomas. None see any off road time. It's just for the looks. Not saying you can't go off road with it at all. Makes you wonder why most who do wheel their trucks go with a quality 3" adjustable coil over lift. With a drop bracket lift, you're not gaining any extra height under the vehicle up front because you're just adding another cross member where the original one is under the front diff. Not a whole lot of up travel in it either. Sounds like you're a good candidate for one.

6" is a permanent mod.

Did they get the steering shaft spacer built, or are they going to fab one?

I've been saving my pennies. Going with 3'' lift, it meets more of my needs. I'm still on the Icon vs OME BP-51 fence.

I love my ICON adjustables ... I chose them because they're local and if I need to have them revalved. They're just down the street.

The more I think about body lifts the more sense it makes to clear front and rear bumpers for approach and departure angles for those of us that have to save pennies for metal ones

The reality is that I passed on a 6'' lift at an incredible price because of the cutting involved and the fact that it is pretty much permanent. I felt that if I didn't like the ride or the lift, I was stuck with it. It wasn't the look of it that kept me away. I mean, you can have a 6'' lift not look cartooney if you don't drown it in 20'' wheels and spacers with bubble tires.
