6x9 Fosgate Speaker Question?

I am sorely dissapointed in the highs of my 2005 JBL 6-disc sound and was definitely thinking of replacements.

I know 6.5 or 5.25 components would provide optimum sound/imaging/soundstage yada yada yada but.... Also, I had some Infinity components in my Tacoma but they required lotsa power.

I wanted to keep everything simple and was thinking of buying these RF 6x9 Components. I guess I'd mount one RF tweeter in the 6x9 basket and the other RF tweeter replacing the factory tweeter.

* Is there room in the door panel to stash the x-overs?

* Does ANYONE know if those will fit as I said? Crutchfield says yes on the site but I don't know what configuration that is in (in other words, with one tweeter mounted on the 6x9 will it be too high?)

* Has anyone use/tried/fitted/bought these speakers?

* Will the JBL amp power these well enough? Crutchfield says 8-60RMS

* Any other thoughts/opinions?

As far as I know.....what determines how much power a speaker uses is not only the wattage rating, but also its efficiency/sensitivity rating. this is how efficiently the speaker uses the power. The higher the number, the more efficient/louder the speaker will play at the same amount of power supplied. so when i looked at the RF speakers, they actually have a lower sensitivity rating than the Infinity 6x9's. just thought I'd let you know.

6x9's will fit in the front doors, but the stock mounting brackets will need to be modified, or you'll have to make your own out of MDF. It should not be hard.

I don't know the power rating on the JBL, but I'm thinking it'll be fine.

Thanks, I knew about sensitivity readings, but at the same time I am convinced they are lies half of the time. I am thinking that I'll get them soon...

Anyone try these speakers out? Will the crossovers fit in the door somewhere?
