6x9s or 6.5s..?

I'll probably look into changing speakers sometime in the future..

But I have a question regarding speaker sizes..

I don't think I want that expensive of a radio setup, just something better than stock.. But I'm also not looking into getting any subs or amps..

I think I want to go with a Scion deck for the stock look, and some new speakers..

Now my question is, since the stock front speakers are 6x9s, would it be advisable to change them to another set of 6x9s, or 6.5s.. in my accord, the setup was 6.5s in front, adn 6x9s in the rear.. i know that 6.5s would be best for mids/highs with a component set; but the 6x9s would control the lows.. i'm not sure if i want to go 6.5s all around; but i think for the low frequences, keeping the 6x9s might be better. i think it would do decently with 6.5s all around..

as for the music i listen to, it's mostly just about anything except most hip-pop, pop, rap, and limited country..

so mostly, some bass, not a lot of it is necessary..

anyone here have 6.5s all around with no subs? how would you best describe it?

also, i think i read somewhere on the forum that the stock speakers need to be cut out of the brackets.. is it hard? i may just make new brackets for the speakers anyways..
