75 series tires for offroading

considering buying a gen 4 4runner. noticed they come with 70 and 65 series tires. I have always run 75 series. did Toyota do that for better handling on pavement? Anybody ditch the 65 or 70 series and put on 75 series tires?

The stock 265/70/16's can be upsized to 265/75/16 and fit without rubbing. Likewise the 265/65/17's to 265/70/17. Not sure about 18" sizing.

For 18" you just add 5, so it would be 265/60R18 stock and 265/65R18 upsized.

Whoops! When I first read the thread title I immediately thought you were refering to the old 75 Series LandCruiser, and I remembered that yep, their tires are great for off-roading!!
