82 4x4 pickup

I have an opportunity to buy an 82 4x4 yota pickup. The engine is bad (presumed head gasket but not sure) It is mostly complete, has some goodies on it ( power steering box, front and rear ends, top shift transfer case, 22r parts like carb and intake and etc.

I have no use for it, as cool as it would be to sfa my 88 runner, I am leaving well enough alone. There's no title so it needs to be parted. The guy wants $500 for it. Can I realistically sell enough $ in parts to make it worth it? At the end I can haul the remains to the scrap yard and make $ there too. I just dont want to end up making $100 on the deal it's just not worth it. At the same time I hate to see it get crushed. Which is what the owner plans to do with it tomorrow.....

What would you guys do?

It would be a sweet thing if you planned to do an SAS sometime, plus guys are always looking for axles, T-cases, and engine parts. If you have the space, and it wouldn't be an issue if it sat a while, it might be worth it--otherwise, it's just going to be a headache and eyesore. In the end, it's entirely up to your circumstances.
