83 Custom Cab Half Door Build

Started choppen into the yota today. Thought alot about weither or not to do this. I commited and started cuttin. Let me know what you think.

I think they look great. I have been wanting to do that to my doors, but I dsrive my 4runner all winter, which is only from October til May here in Montana!
I wonder about the possibility of having some vinyl Snap-on wingows made?
If I could get that done, I would cut my doors too.

Or get another set of doors to chop up and a set of those quickrelease hinges.

I thought about buying a second set of doors. But if you look how a jeeps half doors are made. They are very simple. That is why i left the window trim intacked. Take some 1/4" rod and use a torch and bent it to the profile of the trim and new pocket. Add two rods at the bottom vertically. Just like a Jeep. put the upper rod trim into the upper weather stripping and pull the bottom verticall rods into hole predrilled in the arm rest of the new pocket. If you could understand that. Sorry tried to describe the best i could. I will draw it out and have my wife scan it in on monday. Ship me your doors and Ill build them. Have a new great shop here in Las Vegas.
