Hey,

I have a 1984 4Runner w/ 305,000 miles still running strong only complaint is the ride quality is TERRIBLE. Its so stiff i cant hit a speed bump going over 10mph. I know that the solid axle is contributing to the stiffness but would i notice much improvment if i got new shock absorbers?

Thanks,
Kevin

At 305K, the original suspesion would be totally shot. Shocks won't last more than 100K, springs maybe 200K.

You more than likely need all new shocks and springs.

If you want a really good ride, better than stock new, go with an Old Man Emu suspension. Pricy, but the best.

the best thing that you could possibly do to make the ride qualitly better would be to trade me that one for my 86 IFS runner:D
