85-89 4R roll bar in my 3rd gen...

Has anyone done this? Does it fit right in, or do the legs need to be cut down slightly? I tried fitting it, but it seems kind of tight. I think I may be able to squeeze it in though. Does anyone have any threads to search or input on this? I haven't been able to find much so far.
