'85 with rear LSD

I'm pretty sure that LSD was not an option on an '85 4Runner. Can't help you with a reference; sorry.

Limited Slip Differential

Redneck Cowboy way....
Get on a dirt road in 2WD, rev the engine and pop the clutch. One rear tire throws dirt = no limited slip; two rear tires throw dirt = limited slip (or a locker). I'm betting lunch that you don't have limited slip as someone would have had to put it in. More than likely, if anyone put anything in the rear differential it would have been a locker and not limited slip. I can assure you it came from the factory with nothing.
I might be mistaken but I think if you follow Mr. Maraki's suggestion and you actually have a locker installed then the opposite tire will turn backwards if you turn the other tire with both rear wheels off the ground.

Another redneck way to check, and what made me think to look in the first place; give it a little gas going around a left hand corner and a right hand corner and if the inside wheel chirps on both, chances are you have an LSD (or a spooled diff, you'd probably know it by now if you had a locker).

That is a classic symptom of a Detroit locker. A limited slip is more difficult to make "chirp" around a corner. If yours is doing that with a punch of the gas around the corner then I would guess that you have a Detroit installed. If it's spooled, you don't have to give it any gas...the tires will grind, chirp, etc. when you turn.
