86000 miles

i have 86000 miles about to do the basic oil change and oil filter, now i have a weird rattling noise at low rpm, come to find out its the belt tensioner anyone have tips on fixing this or replacing the tensioner? any thing else i should look at while im doing all this? BTW i have a 03 v6 sr5 2wd thanks in advance

I don't know about the T4R's tensioner specifically but: In trying to be cheap I have pressed the bearing out of many tensioner pulleys. NAPA can usually match the bearing for much less than the whole assembly. The downside is you will still have your old spring. I've never had a problem.

Again, I do not know if this will work on the T4R pulley.

If you don't have a press I have been able to use a vice and some big sockets to push the bearing out (and the new one in).

You might want to try a new belt 1st if it's the original. I have seen old belts do crazy things and cause weird stuff all while looking normal/good.
