'87 4runner 2.4L 4 cylinder: coolant leak

i'm incredibly frustrated, i'm pretty much dumping coolant out of the water pump and its mostly due to the pulley for the radiator fan shaking everywhere but i cannot figure out how to take it off in order to change the pump and fix the leak and shaking problem, how can i get the pulley off?

engine size might help?

You must have over looked his subject title Mike. The only question I have is if it's a 22r or 22re.

Mines a 22re and the water pump is bolted onto the timing cover. It would probably be easiest just to pull the rad to get easy access to your part since you will have to remove the fan anyway.

If you run into any snags i'm sure that I can help you out.

Anyway if you decide to do the timing cover too than you're in for a fun ride. This job is not for the weak of heart or mind.

I was up to my neck in it two weeks ago. The water pump is built into the timing cover so I took it apart and put a new gasket in while it was off the engine. The rubber gasket in the picture is actually from the oil pump.
