87' Grill Fit a 3rd Gen?

Anyone happen to know off hand if a 87 grill will fit a 01 runner? Found one on CL for super cheap and thought it would be a cool mod.......I know it will take some trimming and fitting but just wanted to see if anyone has ever seen it done.....

You could make it fit, but it probably won't look good. The 87's grills are much longer and you would have to cut it.

Well i know the headlight wraps would need to be removed, and may be some trimming of the frame and "fitment" just didn't know if the grill is the same in height as the 3rd gen or length between headlights.....I suppose i can ask the seller for some dimensions.......
