Hi. I really hope someone can help me with this. I have a 88 4 runner with the 22re. I just put a rebuilt motor into it and I have the timing at 5° btdc and the engine was running great but as soon as I got it on the road it had power but after a couple minutes of driving it threw a cel and lost all power and wouldn't accelerate. So I jumped the t1 terminal and the te1 terminal to get the code and it was a 51. As far as I could find it was the tps code so I replaced the sensor and got it started up and ass soon as it turned over the idle started jumping and raising and dropping. Does anyone have any suggestions for me?

The TPS needs to be calibrated correctly, or all sorts of other things go haywire. If you just slap the new TPS on without calibrating it, it won't work.
Ok so then how do I calibrate it properly?

Gosh, I don't know. It'd be awfully convenient for you if somebody had gone to the effort of putting nice detailed directions on the internet and then somebody else had taken 10 seconds to link you directly to those directions. But since that hasn't happened, I'd say you're screwed.
How do I do that?
