hey guys i bought an 88 6cyl that sat for a year. the fuel pump comes on when u start it then shuts off when you release the key. the airflow door above the airfilter was stuck and I got it loosened but it wont stay running unless someone is holding the relay on the passenger side. Any suggestions?

The relay your talking about is probably the Circuit Opening Relay, which is inline with a fuel pump interlock switch in the VAFM. The switch is hooked to the measuring plate in the VAFM, which may be the "door" you are talking about. If "holding" the relay makes it work, start by looking at the wiring there.
