88 rear window

My rear window in my 88 won't work.
I can hot wire it and it works.
The relay box is like $600. at the junkyard.
I ran wiers from the motor to the consol,
and from there I am stumped.
DO I need some sort of a relay ?
Or a rocker switch with an up power and grownd and a down power and grownd?
It's like this for about 3 years and I'm sick of it. I"m using a Dewalt 18volt bat. to power it.
Can anyone help me out ?

What i did was installed my own switch and ran it from the battery straight to the rear window motor. You need a rocker switch that returns to center, should work just fine unless you got something wrong with the motor.

Do I need a 2 or 3 prong switch?

Do I run a wire from the battery
to one of the pongs then to the motor ?

I can run the motor up and down with direct power so I know it works.

I'm sorry I just no NOTHING about wirering.

My switch has 6 prongs, 2 for pos and neg from the battery and 4 for pos and neg to the motor, im not entirely sure how its done cuz i didnt personally do it, a friend of mine wired it for me. Just do a little research you'll figure it out..

Thats basically what i got..Not sure how he wired the battery, im no electrician, haha.
