Hello all! New member but life long Toyota fan here's my first post. Just bought a 89 with the 3.0 and manual trans. My problem is that when shifting into 4th gear the shifter hits the truck into 4HI on the transfer case. Took the console off and removed the rubber boots and it looks like the bend that is in the shifter is making this happen. Is it possible this could of been put in backwards? Has anyone else seen this? It looks like the bend is just opposite of what it would need to be. I had a 86 pick-up and never had this trouble but can't remember a bend in the shifter like this, however, it is below the boot so I wouldn't have noticed I guess. I am at work now and can take a pic tonight if it will help
