89 T4R Tire Question

Need a little help on tires. 89 no modifications, currently has
235 75 15. I'd like to go to a bigger tire, but not sure what else will fit on the rim. I dont want to have to lift the body or modify the suspension.

Yeah, Im an idiot when it comes to tires.....

any suggestions???

Here are a couple of sizes that are bigger---
30x9.5x15 or 265/70/15 or 31x10.5x15

Any of those sizes are pretty easy to find and would work nicely on your 89.
Walmart is always a good place to check and Pepboys too.

There is a picture on the Classic t4r picture page of one with the 30 x 9.5's that look pretty sweet. That might be the ticket

Check out craigslist.com there were some 31 x10.50 's on there yesterday.

my moms 4runner has 31x10.50's but I believe it has a little lift too.

Since a 31" tire package was available from the factory, 31's wouldn't be a problem. Just remember the speedo will be off a little and you will loose a little power.
