891s & Spacers (pics)

I picked up some 891s the other week here on the forums from sogoood and got some time (and good weather) to install them today. It's a huge improvement over the stock springs and spacers. The springs not only ride great but they leveled the truck out perfectly.

Before with 2" risers:

After with 891s:

I also picked up some 1" spacers on craigslist last week and got them on. It's got a nicer stance now and doesn't rub on the frame inside during U-turns. Overall I'm stoked.

I don't know about the backspacing on the wheels but it was pretty shallow. It's a 1" spacer. You can see how close it was before in this old picture:

I'll take some more pictures tomorrow. You can get your whole hand in there now :)

Here is another picture of the stance and of the gap difference. They don't stick out too much more than they did before.

Looks good, next step is going online and buying the nuespeed sport 1.5" lowering kit for that GTI, it is in desprate need of being lowered!

You sure it's a 1'' spacer? Tires look like they stick out way more!

Anybody think that it looks wider because he's not running any fender flares? Just a thought. I agree it looks wide...but I also think it looks really good!

mrbee2828-
How are you liking the Terra Grapplers so far? I've been thinking about them for my next set.

X2. Definitely a wide stance! Looks good to me too. Just don't drive through any gravel pits at high speeds without being willing to accept the punishment!
