After owning and loving my two previous Subarus (forester and outback), I wanted a bit more room and some low range gearing for fun…
So, after buying my 2000 4Runner SR5 (unfortunately no e-locker… yet) in January with 132k for 6k, I've already put 20k on it (avg 30k a year) and I love the truck. I've got a modest short-term list of modifications and an optimistic long-term list, so I hope to start chipping away at it.
Done:
Running boards gone
Pioneer FH-X700BT double-din deck
remote start (from previous owner… a must have here in MN)
Destination AT 265/70/16

Satoshi grill (I hope. Anybody here looking to make a couple bucks!?)
E-locker swap (still considering Grizzly autolocker)
Tundra brake swap (the death wobble cometh)
More distant future:
CBI front and rear bumpers with the tire carrying swing-arm
lightforce 170 striker driving lights with yellow filter covers
rhino lined bumpers and rockers
sliders
MAYBE (but not necessarily) a 2" lift. No more.
