90 tranny in a 92 ??

I found a 3-8-b8; 90 4Runner transmission & T-case, can anyone tell me if this number means its auto or manual and if it would be an exact replacement for a manual 92 4runner with the 3.0Ltr engine?

I should probably run over to the dealer and bug them about it too.

PS, ok that number has nothing to do with the tranny, guess I need to find out if its a manual or automatic. SO, lets say its a manual like mine. If it was on a different engine size than mine, would it be a direct swap or not?

The only manual for a 3.0 would be the R150F, and the auto I think would be an A340.

88-91 used a R150F-A while 92-95 used a R150F-B, and AFAIK they are interchangeable.

The 4 cyl 22RE in that time period used a W56 or a G58.

Didn't want to start a new thread on this, but does anyone know if a 95 4runner trans/tc will fit in a 92 4runner or if there are any problems with elec connections. Both have the 3vze v-6

As stated above, the only V6 transmission used was a R150F-A from 88-91, while 92-95 used a R150F-B.
