9006 bulbs on a H1 HID kit?

I have an HID kit lying around from my old car and the 3rd gen 4runners take 9006 bulbs. Is there anyway I can just get 9006 bulbs and somehow fit them to my H1 kit or should I not even bother and just buy a whole new kit? thanks.

You should be able to find rebased 9006 HID capsules and reuse your old ballasts and ignitors. Most PnP kits use industry standard AMP connectors.
