The Service light has light up on the wifes runner.. from what I could gather with the owners manual its time for the transmission and diff fluids to be changed. is this correct? would you recomend doing this myself or taking it to a shop to have it done? do i need the code reset or does it do it on its own after the change?

Per Toyota, the 90k maintenance on a V8 consists of the following:
  • Replace engine oil and oil filter
  • Lubricate propeller shaft (4WD)
  • Rotate tires
  • Replace timing belt (2UZ-FE)
  • Re-torque propeller shaft bolt
  • Replace engine air filter
  • Replace cabin air filter (if equipped)

Make sure you replace the tensioner when you do the timing belt. I would let a competent dealer do the timing belt, then do everything else myself. The diffs you can do in about an hour, tranny probably a bit longer.
