My question is will the 5 speed transmission bolt directly to the 3.0 and the 22re, I've got a tired 3.0 and want to get a performance 22re and drop in its place.

I'm not sure about the trans but I believe they are different bolt patterns but either way that would be the least of your problems. Motor mounts and all would have to be fabricated. A much smarter swap would be the 3.4. No matter what kind of performance build a 22re is you're still looking at a turd. Find yourself a rolled or rear ended 3rd gen and swap that motor. JMO.

3.0 to 22re will be a lot of fab and wiring. Not worth it. The 3.4 is a much better option. It basically bolts right up.

Still, going from a v6 to a 4 banger will still be a lot of work. Although a 3rz will probably be my next motor :madgrin:
