91 SR5 Screaching SOund

I went to the hunting camp this past weekend, it was somewhat muddy, I went through a few holes that were about 1/4 of the way up the tires, now I get this loud screaching sound from the front. It almost sounds like the brake wear indicators, but there brand new. I power washed the inside of the wheels, and the rotors, and it is still doing it, it's the worst under about 20 mph. I also get a little bit of a clicking sound when I am going very slow...no gas..just idling. Could it be some kind of bearing or something. This started after going in the mud, 1st time I've had it in the mud, only had the thing for about 2 weeks. Any ideas??

Right on, I think that is the problem, I took it to the car wash at lunch, and just sprayed the pressure washer between the disk and the backing plate, and it looked like I dumped aload of gravel on the ground, I'll have to check when I get home to see if any damage was done. Feel like an idiot for not thinking of that.....Thanks for the cheap fix fourwd.

No prob, glad I could help.
Keep in mind sometimes even a power washer won't get some out and you'll need to slide a putty knife or something in to get it out.

yeah , i took the wheel off, all the rocks and dirt where out, but the backing plat was bent in towards the rotor where the vents are on the plate...bent that back out and it's running good as new.
