POSTED IN WRONG AREA EARLIER SORRY!!
i'm a newbie to the site...even to toyota itself...i'm usually a dodge guy i kinda prefer the v8 or v10 (former 05 ram srt10 owner until divorced) so that wasn't much fun...but anyways i bought my 1st toyo and i actually like it...it seems to have a lift on it as it sits higher than others i seen...has 35x12.50x15LT...it was formerly owned by a hispanic...so i'm not sure if he upgraded the gears or anything like that....it feels kinda of heavy so its kinda slow to get up and go....but thats just one problem i have...the main problem i'm having is its hard to start....just recently though...i live in las vegas so weather been kinda crazy....its hard to start when its cold...thought it could be the battery losing charge, so i got a new duralast gold batter...was told buy store manager that the battery i bought was stronger than the yellow top optima battery....but when i went to turn it on this morning it wouldnt start, i had to kinda jump start it b/c the battery had a charge but didnt seem strong enough....so when i connected cable to my wifes 98 neon w/o reving engine it started right up....i know the previous owner replaced the starter....so i'm not sure what the problem could be....i was thinking about if theres a stronger starter or alternator that i can buy i was going to replace them both even if they are good just want it to have the power just to start right up even on the coldiest day....any suggestions would be appreciated....o also the speedo is not working....i replaced the speed sensor due to my cousins mechanic that he has...but still not working...when i pulled the speedo cable from the transmission and turned the cable by hand the niddle moves....so i thought it might be the cluster and i got one from the local pic~a~part for $10 (working)...but it still didnt fix the problem....this issue and the starting issue are my 2 main concerns....so any help would be appreciated....thank you ps named the 4runner blk wido due to it being so high looks like a spider to me and i plan on painting it like a flat black and blacking it all out ( wheels, tail lights, headlights, etc....) u know i was just reading the spark and wires issue....could that be one of the reason for the starting problem...not sure if previous owner put some autolites or something other than then NGK in it....was gonna go check to see which plugs they used but its to coooold
