92 3vze missing under load

I have a 92 with the 3vze. I just replaced the heads on it. It ran great for about 250 miles. Now between 1200-2800~ rpm under load it seems to miss here and there. This only happens after it is warm. Above 3000 rpm it is smooth as silk. I did a search but couldnt find any other threads that seemed to have the same issues.

I have installed new plugs, wires, cap, and rotor. The fuel filter has less than 500 miles on it. Im at a loss here. No plug wires are broke or touching any metal.

It could be your Throttle Position Sensor (TPS). Mine was doing that from time to time and then it finally went. After that I couldn't rev over 1800rpm. You can dump $$ by trying to guess and replace parts, and that's what exactly I did. Did you get a CEL?

I have one, let me know your model number. There is a way to test it with a voltage meter, but you need to know what wire is your signal wire and volt reference. I came across mine when it was too late so I couldn't test it. I just disconnected the tps, and knew from there.

Where is the model number at? On the TPS itself? Or are you asking for a different model number?

yeah it's on the tps.. It's facing the back of the engine bay towards the windshield. It's tricky trying to get it off. There's only two screws top and bottom, which can strip very easily so take caution.

If you can try taking your camera phone and getting a pic of the face of the tps.

I took some pictures with my phone but the nubers didnt come out good enough to actually see the number. I will take it off again later today and take some pictures with my camera. I tested it according to the haynes manual and it seems OK, but I could be wrong.

I also found a crack on the air intake tube that connects to the throttle body. I was able to seal it up and went for a test drive. It is still doing the miss under acceleration between 1k-3k rpm. I checked for other vacuum leaks using the map torch method I read in another thread here. I can not seem to find any vacuum leaks.

The engine starts right up and runs fine with no load at any rpm range.

Is there anything else I can check that anyone can think of?
