92 hilux surf solenoid in engine leaking diesel

92 hilux surf solenoid in engine leaking diesel. It looks like a black cylinder, I've heard that it's a O Ring that goes in it, just wondering if anyone has had this problem?

You may not have much luck with a response regarding any diesel. There are a few members on the board who do own and have some knowledge of them, but most of us in the states dont know squat, the diesel wasnt sold here:hurt:

Mostly Land cruiser owners but there are some Surfs and prado members that know the 2-L/LT engine quite well. I'm not very familiar with that engine but what you describe sounds like a manual priming pump, located on the top of the injection pump.

I have a 2L in an 82 pickup. From my understanding this waas available in 82 and 83. There is a primer under the hood on the drivers side. Mine leaks too and there are about 2 or 3 orings in it. Only one is available still from toyota. If you disassemble it and match up orings at McMaster Carr or some where let me know. Here is the offensive devil...
