92 runner, HG recall question

I bought a 92 parts runner for a great price.. engine (3vze)has 134k on it and it runs fantastic...whoot whoot.. if I pull the engine is it possible for toyota to know whether or not the HG recall was done on that engine? (provided the VIN of the runner says it was not done).. I hear there is a matching VIN number on the inner pass. fender for the engine number.
DOES ANYONE KNOW IF TOYOTA CAN KNOW THAT?
It would be great to be able to take the engine in on stand and have them do the HG recall. (my existing engine was done at 130k and now has 239k on it, and running strong)

Thanks

Its a roll over

so im not able to drive it in...hmmm... would they do it if i took the hood off and took it in on a tow dolly?...lol..
But either way Im going to have a great running 3vze for sale soon... and imma sell cheap cause i got a steal on the truck... I mean like $850 cheap on a 134k motor thats unheard of. At least from my extensive searches....lol...
AND SOO MANY MORE PARTS FOR SALE TOO..... It actually still drives... but ..lol... you would have to crane your head to the side and slink down in the seat..lmao
ramble ramble.. blah blah.. i get to rambling...

1. Use the VIN on your trucks body. I think it is up on the dash.

2. If you are worried that the engine and body vin don't match, then don't even bother. Toyota won't even consider any repair by them if it is clear that the engine/body are not original.

3. Toyota does have a record of whether or not the recall was done. They can pull this with the body vin.

4. Finally. You are way, way, way late on this. Back in 2006, I had my 2nd gen done and at the time the dealer told me Toyota was quickly about to end the recall.
Unless you find some truly magical Toyota dealership unicorn that has special powers, I don't believe you will find a dealer willing to do it on the recall since they only get paid if Toyota honors the work.

I dont consider 850 cheap. Ill call it a high average. I bought a whole 95 4runner v6 with a rusted out body for 600 with 120k on it. Junkyards around here charge about 500 for a motor...

A good running 22re around here is about 300-500.

But hey, if you can get some one to pay 850.. more power to ya!

But Im no help on the recall...

DON'T PULL it. If you take a pulled motor to them, they will more than likely turn you away regardless because of the extra work/parts necessary to put it back together right. You can send or email your vin to your local dealership and the manager or whoever there can verify whether it has already had the hg replaced for the warranty yet or not. If it runs fine though and has good compression, no leaks, etc, why bother yet??

Either way it does him no good as i dont think toyota will replace the head gaskets after the truck has been rolled over. And taking the motor out and putting it in a different truck will void that recall also.

It isnt a 22r it is a 3.0 and if you can find me some of these 3.0 motors that run for 500 bucks I would like to buy 8 or 10 of them, heck you should do the same!
I can find 22r's all day for around that price.. but like I said if you can find me the 3.0 that runs good for 500 bucks let me know for sure because I am seriously interested.. I would have people lined up for them... I sold the motor out of this wreck for $800.00 the very day I listed it on CL.

Where do you live? I couldn't sell a running 3.0l for $400 here in Oregon.
