Hey, I'm hoping to get some information on why one of my cylinders isn't firing. It was a known issue when I bought the vehicle and this is the information I have:
The spark plugs were taken out, one by one, until the problem cylinder was identified (engine didn't run worse than usual). The spark plug however WAS sparking when wired. The fuel injector has recently been replaced.
If the plug is sparking it MUST be that no fuel is getting in, no? I just bought this truck and haven't had time to read the Chilton manual to look for answers (out of town for a couple months). Is there some particular component of the fuel delivery system, mechanical or electrical, that commonly malfunctions or breaks?
