92' T4R won't start. and another

Hello.

1) So for the past yearish I have been battling with my 4 runner and its problem.. It wont start after 15 min of sitting and once it cools down for about 30 min to an hour pending weather. I drove it to California and back right before the problem. Ran fine coming back and thats when the problems began. (maybe bad gas? ran fuel injector but no). It only has 165k miles so it has a while to go still IMO. Im no Einstein on cars but know a little.. I changed the fuel pump when I bought it a year and a half(ish) ago since it went completely out on me and some other knicknaks. No one else seems to now what it is..Any help??

2) It gets stuck in 3rd gear? (automatic) and the OD barely works. It does this almost every time but every so often it does fine and works right. Some says its the tranny??? I have to manually shift it and it shifts just fine. No clnks to clutter no pulling, nothing..I am tying this onto it running poorly. It hardly gets any horse power when it warms up and have to push the pedal to the floor when up to speed 55 60 ish for it to go faster. wtf??

What is the maintenance history other than the fuel pump? When was the last time you did a full tune up on it?

#2 When was the last time you did a tranny service on it? I would start there and if that does not solve the problem then it is probably a solenoid issue.

a FULL tune up is needing and is going to be done shortly. That's where I am starting from. The pump was new.

As far as the second problem.. Never had a tranny service. The fluid was changed once when I got it but thats the extent. What all is entailed in a tranny service??
