'94 4runner 3vze hesitation issues

I get a low, slightly erratic idle and part-throttle hesitation on my 94, 160k on the odo.

I was told by the previous owner that it has a valve cover gasket leak.....I think that might be contributory, and I've purchased some new NGK plugs and new wires to also attempt to eliminate things.

Any suggestions? I ran a tank of 93 octane, but I'm hesitant to run fuel system cleaners. Maybe I'll try some seafoam though.

Anyways, I appreciate any feedback.

plugs , wires , cap , rotor & fuel filter ... a good tune up is always the best place to start...good luck... a leaking valve cover wont cause a miss ;):

thanks!

I was going through changing the plugs (man what a PITA! worse than my 350z! ) found a plug wire just sitting on the plug. Hmm, idle rough, hesitation? Running on 5 cylinders! LOL.

plugged it back in, took it for a spin, BAM! All fixed. Now I know why I bought a toyota as a beater :D
