'94 4runner

I am looking into buying a 4runner, and while I was looking for a 3rd gen I came across a '94. I was just wondering how people liked the 2nd gens in general. How is the v6 engine? Any common issues I should look for when inspecting it? And what is a fair price for a '94 4x4 with about 170000 miles on it?

I bought my 94 for $2000 with 166k miles and a very rusty body but mechanically sound.
As far as the 3.0l v6 they are not the best. Make sure you check to make sure the headgaskets are not blown. Very common problem with this motor due to a poor crossover pipe design

Ok, enough ignorant head gasket posts. Yes, the head gaskets can and do go due to the cross over pipe. The 3.0 is what it is, an under powered gas hog. That bring said, it is a Toyota engine. It's not unusual to see them with over 250,000 miles. The secret is to take care of them and not let them over heat. I loved my 3.0 and would not hesitate to buy another one.
