'94 rear window won't go up

I got into my '94 T4R today and noticed I had left the rear window down over night. No problem I got out and put the key in the back door and turned it to roll it up and a beeping noise started and the window wouldn't go up.
The window lock is off, I tried from the inside, I unplugged the battery to rest it, but nothing works.
Is there anyone out there that knows what the problem might be?

Is your tailgate unlocked? if so it needs to be locked for the window to roll up.
