'94 SR5 CD Player+Speakers

I have looked through a couple of pages to prevent a double post, but I have found nothing about 2nd generation models.

I am just about to get my license and my dad's 94 SR5. I'm pretty sure the sound system is standard, with 4 speakers and the gap under the cassette/radio.

I am looking to buy a CD player and at least speakers for the front. I have my player lined up, but I am lost at the speakers. I'm really inexperienced at this, but I have a friend who is going to help me out. The main problem for me right now is figuring out how to get to the speakers. I can't see any easy way to get at them. What do I do? And also, do I have to remove the factory cassette/radio system?

Like I said, I really have no idea what I'm doing but I will have an experienced friend helping me. I just need to get the right speakers lined up and have some idea how to get to them. Thanks a lot in advance!

Anyone feel like helping....?

You have to take the dash apart to get to the speakers in the front. just take your time.

The factory radio/cassette the empty bin under it is for the Toyota CD player it just hooks on to the factory bracket and plugs in to the radio/cass.

Or do you have a aftermarket CD player?

Thanks for replying. I have figured out how to get to the front speakers. Does anyone know how to get to the ones in the back? And yes, I will be getting an Alpine receiver.
