94 T4R Maintenance Question

My 94 T4R is making a low rubbing or vibrating sound. It sounds like it is coming from the tires or brakes but I'm not sure. The sound speeds up as my speed increases and slows down as I slow down. Also, it seems to get louder as I apply the brakes but it's there without brakes also. Could it be the rotors being warped? Wouldn't warped rotors cause the steering wheel to shake upon braking? My steering wheel doesn't shake at all. Any suggestions? It's a 2WD btw. Im wondering if the brake calipers are rubbing against the rotor. I changed my brake pads a few months back and maybe somehow it has come loose. Any better ideas? Thanks.

You said it sounds like its coming from the wheel/breaks....so have you taken the wheels off and inspected the breaks/wheelbearing etc?
 
My guess is that yes, it's something in the brakes. Warped rotors should cause the steering wheel to shake, so it's probably not that. Most likely one of your brake pads is rubbing the rotor.

And p.s., don't double post. You have two threads open with the exact same question.

Lookout everybody it's the forum police! "he's done this with other topics too!" I bet my three posts just ruined both of your days. "Kids these days?" I'm a 34 yr old military vet trying to get some help fixing my truck do ya mind? Dont you two losers have anything better to do? If you two jerks don't have any advice just feel free to not post anything at all. And get a life.

And p.s., who the heck are you? I know how many threads I have going and obviously I have my reasons. Don't worry about it.

No need to get nasty about it. It was supposed to just be a friendly reminder of common forum etiquette. And Hyde did give you some advice, as did I.

Multiple posting is a bad idea because it splits up the responses. This means that you can get duplicate responses (waste of our time), or different responses in different locations (potential waste of your time and money if one is incorrect, and potential for the same for other forum members using the search function).
 
Yes this will be the brakes for sure maybe the clips not in correctly, brake pads not in correctly.. if its grinding its metal on metal.. so you def need to inspect them asap to see if you carved a nice grove into the front or back of the rotor.. this isnt a warped rotor issue...

p.s. make sure you feel the back of the rotor to check for a grove in the back..
