94 T4R tranny swap

I just bought a 94 4runner V6 auto. I bought knowing it needed a transmission but I have not been very successful finding a good used tranny for a reasonable price. I am thinking about swapping for a 5 spd but I am concerned about two things, will I need to swap the ECM and/or the speed sensor. Do manuals even have a speed sensor?

I prefer the 5spd and I figure if I have it apart I might as well make it what I want.

I know I can do the swap I just don't want to mess around with much electrical stuff. My thought is that removing the auto will make the OD light flash but that is easily fixed...but will the ECM work right?

I think you have an A340H tranny, which has an integral t-case, so look for a V6 5 spd and t-case.

The speedo sender is on the t-case.

I don't think the ECM will be a problem.

I have a 1990 auto 4x4 V6 tranny and engine c0mbo for $500 right now. The motor needs a rebuild :bash: and the tranny was working fine when I took it out I purchased a 1994 engine and tranny combo and it looks exactly the same so don't narrow your search to just 1994. You are really far away tho so Good Luck I'm sure if you look hard enough you could find one local.
