94' Water Pump replacement questions

So my fan pulley bracket busted and am getting in to fix. Runner was drove without alt belt or solid radiator cooling because the fan slapped it. While im deep in my runners gutz should i replace the water pump? Would driving the car damage it at all? Please help wrenching on saturday.
