I am looking for options on engine swaps for my 95 with a 3.0 and auto trans. As of now the engine only has 118000 miles on it at still runs well so its not a must have right away, but I would like to change it up in the future. Personally, I would love to see about dropping in the TDI engine out of a jetta, great gas mileage, very light weight, and decent power considering. Nothing else major is going to happen with the truck, I am building it to be a great road trip vehicle that can hold its own in the mountains, but still be nice on long highways. Currently has 33" BFG A/T with stock suspension (soon to be upgraded to a OME 2" lift), and I am making a custom roof rack for it as well. I think I would like to keep this one an automatic even tho it will be the first automatic in years.
