95 4runner fuel filter

Hey guys, I'm having a hard time changing my fuel filter on my 95 4runner. To be honest (and with quite a bit of embarassent) I cannot even find it. Can someone give me some super detailed instructions on how to find it? Or maybe a couple pictures showing things around it?

I swear I have crawled up and down both sides of my 4runner and can't find it. I have the 3.0 by the way in case that makes a difference.

Thanks

Yeah, it's tucked tight against the frame rail about halfway back to the tank. If I remember right, it has a small plate protecting it. Also, it threads on.

I have a question about the fuel filter, if you replace it, does it increase the gas mileage? My truck is nearing 190,000 miles, and I don't know if it has ever been replaced.

A fuel filter is a lot cheaper than replacing a fuel pump...

It will make your fuel pump work that much harder if it has to push through a clogged fuel filter. Plain and simple. That, in turn, will wear it out much faster than it normally would. Change your fuel filter.

Fuel filter input, output sizes

I'm ready to replace my filter, and i notice that the thread sizes are different. What sizes does toyota use from the tank and then out to the engine? i know that the "14mm" male comes off the line and into the filter, what size is it that comes out>?
