My buddy has a 95 3.0 and its blowing efi fuses every time we turn the key to the on position. Thing won't start because of this and I can't get a check engine code out of it because the blown fuse keeps reseting them. I've attempted to use an old short/ open circuit locater on it but haven't had any luck. Anyone have any suggestions on where to look for the problem?
Interesting things to note; while the circuit locater was connected I was able to fire the thing up a few times for about 30 second intervals before it would shut off. During those 30 seconds it would sound like it was running fine but flash the check engine light rabidly, which according to my research means the computer is detecting a misfire. Also the cat was stolen off this thing so I'm wondering if that may be related to the problem somehow?
