‘95 daily Runner Build

Digging the sleep area you set up and the buttons to roll down the rear window from inside. Came out pretty trick. Keep it up.

More wrenching but all for the greater good. We planed a 3 day weekend for to the Ozarks but some much needed maintenance and modifications had to be done first. Finally added the 1 1/2 in. ball joint spacers from 4Crawler Offroad with new upper balljoints. While I was in there, Popped in some O'Reilly remaned axles. Only $62 each. Nocked out my old seized torsion bolts for some new ones. She rides so nice now that I let off a lot of tension on the torsion bars and still maintain a lift without rub or axle pop. Kicking my self why I didn't do this earlier...

It's been over a year since my last post. The truck has been doing great, reliable and still putting a smile on my face every time I get behind the wheel. I picked up a new daily, '17 Volkswagen GTI which has turned 4Runner into the weekender/spare family vehicle. BUT, it's time she gets some love again. This cool weather has got me motivated! I just got New tires, some 33'' Maxxis MT's put on and they look siiiick!!

Wanted to share some updates...

I jumped on a factory rear tire carrier that was posted in a facebook group. the guy was incredibly cool and gave me the carrier and the tailgate for free. With work being slow I managed to get it mounted up. Not the hardest job just time consuming.

Swapping the motors and glass to the new tailgate.

Tailgate mounted. (don't worry, I painted everything)

Brackets to I made to hold the carrier because I don't have the factory one.

Awesome man. I snagged a complete set from a junkyard last year. It's been sitting for awhile now as I can't seem to get the nerve to commit to the trade over. Looks great though. Really making me want to tackle this.

Do it! You won't regret it!

The only issues I ran into was the wiring harness from the tailgate I got was cut super short so I had to splice in a section and run it in inside to keep the window from hitting it when it's all the way down. Also, something I didn't think about, but it won't affect you, the dent I have causes the window to catch a little bit on the window track on its way up and down. I didn't anticipate the added weight of the tire on the tailgate to pull out as much as it does so now the window catches the bent track a little to much so I have to help the window back up with my hand. I'm going to try and hammer that dent out enough to get the window to go up and down smother at least.
