95 V6 running rough

I have a 1995 V6 which runs rough at low idles - it sort of bucks as it misses. I had this problem for quite a while, but now has gotten worse. I replaced the plugs when the problem first came up (4 yrs ago or so) and it helped, but never really completely solved the issue. Also ran injector cleaner a couple times.

When driving along at 40 - 50 MPH, and in low RPM ( ~2k or so) it really bucks bad now. Feels like at least 1 cylinder (maybe 2 or 3) are missing, and then kick in and out.

The dealer originally told me I needed new injectors. But, somehow, I think that there may be something else. Wires? Air filter?

Anyone else ever have this issue ? What did it turn out to be?

Plan on changing plugs & air filter this w\e.

thanks

I would go plugs and wires first, then cap 'n rotor, and then I would go to the throttle position sensor and throttle body.

Do the compression test before you spend any money.I hate to throw money at something before I know what it is.Check your wires before you change them .also try pulling wires off one at a time and see if the idle changes. This can help you isolate it to a given cylinder and you can check the components for that cylinder plug, wire, maybe a sticking valve, injector.Good Luck

Changed plugs, cap & rotor. That did the trick. A couple of the plugs were actually cracked. It had been a long time since they were changed - actually this is only the second set of plugs in a 95. Thanks for all the ideas. Whew - I'm glad it wasnt anything expensive.
